ROSTER CHANGES ARE NOT INSTANTANEOUS.
​Depending on the team level (Rec vs. Comp), time of season (there is always a mad last-minute rush before season start) and other technical factors, teams should expect at least5 day turnaround.

Cost: FREE

Drop off or mail to SFYS for each dropping player:


  1. ​The current year player pass from the old team
  2. Fill out and print the Top and RED sections of 
    CalNorth FORM 1606. Parent and a registered Coach/Manager sign the form where indicated. Clean, clear scans and faxes as well as digital signatures are acceptable.

  • All releases require relinquishment of pass.

  1. Have releasing staff member email SFYS a confirmation that s/he should be dropped from the roster
  2. ​Drop off or mail to SFYS the current year coach pass ​
    Note: Recreational players who have only digital player cards have no passes to turn in.

If a player wishes to release from a team, he or she may do so as long as the team does not drop below the minimum roster size. The team may need to first find another player before releasing a player. If the player wishes to drop from your team and instead play on another team, please see the transfer instructions.

  • Players may not be released if the transfer would cause the old team to fall below the team roster minimum.​
  • Players must settle any financial obligations with their old team in advance of any release.
